Haomei Concrete Mixing Plant Operator

Ocean Contractors Limited has been in the asphalt and ready-mix concrete business since 1974.  We pride ourselves on having ‘Built on Quality’ products, services and employees.  We are currently seeking applications for an experienced full time concrete batching plant Operator to join our team.
Reporting to the Superintendent; the Concrete Batch Plant Operator position works in a constantly changing environment with repetitive tasks.

The Concrete Batch Plant Operator is responsible for:
Completing daily plant inspections;
Following Ocean’s safety policies and programs at all times;
Conducting physical inventories of raw materials, other items and reporting low inventory supplies to the Superintendent;
Recording and confirming batch details for all loads;
Operating the wet mix concrete batch plant and respective controls;
Determining composition and quantities of concrete for batching;
Ensuring plant conditions are in good repair, working areas and equipment are clean;
Completing general maintenance on concrete plant and troubleshooting any immediate plant breakdowns and escalating to the Superintendent when required;
Maintaining consistent communication with the Concrete Dispatcher ensuring that all loads are mixed to specifications;  and
Other job duties as assigned by the Superintendent.  
The ideal candidate will have completion of high school or GED equivalent, a minimum of three years of experience as a Concrete Batch Plant Operator, is mechanically inclined, has an understanding of concrete mixes, is a strong team player, detail orientated and is able to lift up to 50 pounds. Having Command Batch system experience is an asset.
